How do LED's work?
Light emitting diodes work through a process called electroluminescence – when a material gives off light due to an electrical current or field. Turn the handle and an electrical current is generated. When an electrical current is generated, electrons are moving and flowing. When the left button is held down, the current pass through the LED. Inside the LED, the electrons are forced to lose energy. When they are forced to do so, they emit energy in the form of a photon – a particle that transmits light.
